Function
Mainly used to store compressed air from the air pump, providing air source for the braking, horn and other systems of the semi-trailer. Without an air storage tank, the air volume pumped by the air compressor cannot meet the vehicle's air demand.
Advantages
- Lower cost: Compared with aluminum alloy air storage tanks, iron air storage tanks are cheaper. For example, a 280mm diameter, 40-liter iron 2-hole air storage tank costs 135.70 yuan, while an aluminum alloy one costs 194.70 yuan.
- Higher strength: Iron material has higher strength and hardness, can withstand greater pressure, is not easy to deform or damage, and can ensure the reliability of the air storage tank.

Installation and Maintenance
- Installation: It is welded to the vehicle frame through the bottom support frame or connected with bolts to ensure firm installation. Pay attention to the installation location for convenient air pipe connection and maintenance.
- Maintenance: Regularly check the appearance of the air storage tank for rust, deformation, cracks, etc., check whether the air pipe connection is loose, and regularly drain the bottom condensate water to prevent water accumulation from corroding the tank body.
