The functions, uses, and applications of CIMC semi-trailer thin-walled steel gas cylinders are as follows:
- Function and Use
- Storing compressed air : It provides the necessary air pressure for the semi-trailer's braking system. When the driver presses the brake pedal, high-pressure air from the air reservoir is delivered through pipes to the wheel cylinders, activating the brakes. At the same time, it also supplies air to other pneumatic devices such as the air horn and pneumatic clutch.
- Stable atmospheric pressure :The compressed air output from the air compressor is unstable in pressure. The air receiver tank allows this fluctuating air to first settle before releasing the stabilized, regulated compressed air, ensuring that air-consuming devices like the braking system receive a consistent pressure and function properly.
- Filter out impurities and moisture When compressed air briefly resides in the air receiver tank, impurities such as dust and water molecules settle to the bottom due to gravity, effectively filtering the air and reducing corrosion and wear on components within the air system.
- Auxiliary cooling When outside air is compressed by an air compressor, it generates heat. The air receiver tank can cool down the compressed air, improving air storage efficiency and also helping moisture in the air system to settle out more effectively.
- Application :The CIMC semi-trailer steel gas cylinders are primarily used in various CIMC-branded semi-trailers, such as van-type, tank-type, and stake-body semi-trailers. They are suitable for multiple industries, including logistics transportation, chemical raw material transport, and construction material shipping. Particularly in long-haul and heavy-load transportation scenarios, these cylinders provide reliable support for the vehicle's braking system, ensuring stable and safe operation on the road.
