The Delong 30L iron air storage tank, as an important component of the air system of Shaanxi Automobile Delong vehicles, has the following main functions:

- Energy storage and air supply: Stores compressed air produced by the air compressor to provide a stable air source for vehicle braking systems (such as driving brakes, parking brakes), pneumatic clutches, air horns, and other pneumatic equipment, ensuring that these devices can obtain sufficient air pressure when needed to guarantee normal vehicle operation.
- Filtration and purification: Moisture, dust, oil stains, and other impurities contained in the compressed air will settle in the air storage tank due to gravity, providing preliminary filtration, reducing the entry of impurities into subsequent pneumatic components (such as brake valves and pipelines), reducing component wear and tear and failure risks, and extending the service life of the pneumatic system.
- Pressure stabilization and buffering: The air pressure output by the air compressor fluctuates. The air storage tank can buffer the volume, making the output air pressure more stable and preventing unstable operation of pneumatic equipment (especially the braking system) due to sudden changes in air pressure, thereby improving operational safety.
- Cooling and water separation: After the air is compressed by the air compressor, its temperature rises. After entering the air storage tank, it stays and cools down, causing the water vapor in the air to condense into liquid water and settle, further purifying the compressed air and reducing the corrosion of the pneumatic system by moisture.
