Delong Twin-Chamber Air Storage Tank As an important component of the pneumatic system for Shaanxi Automobile Delong vehicles, its main functions are as follows:
- Energy Storage and Air Supply: Stores compressed air produced by the air compressor to provide a stable air source for vehicle braking systems (such as service brakes, parking brakes), pneumatic clutches, air horns, and other pneumatic equipment. This ensures that these devices receive sufficient air pressure when needed, guaranteeing normal vehicle operation.
- Filtration and Purification: Moisture, dust, oil, and other impurities in the compressed air will settle in the air storage tank due to gravity, providing preliminary filtration. This reduces the entry of impurities into subsequent pneumatic components (such as brake valves and pipelines), reducing component wear and tear, and the risk of failure, thus extending the service life of the pneumatic system.
- Pressure Stabilization and Buffering: The air pressure output by the air compressor fluctuates. The air storage tank can buffer this fluctuation through its volume, resulting in a more stable output air pressure. This prevents instability in pneumatic equipment (especially the braking system) due to sudden pressure changes, improving operational safety.
- Cooling and Water Separation: After being compressed by the air compressor, the air temperature increases. Entering the air storage tank allows it to cool down, causing the water vapor in the air to condense into liquid water and settle, further purifying the compressed air and reducing corrosion of the pneumatic system caused by moisture.
